Lyrics to CHINATOWN?
editI'm wondering the best way to confirm lyrics to the song "CHINATOWN" ? TOTO has very few sources for this song, and I've been unable to locate the OFFICIAL lyrics. Here's a gripe.
I believe, from context, the line, as reported by many lyrics engines, "A woman bores the absinthe As the paper lanterns glow I think Ms. Jones is better left alone"... MUST in truth be "A woman 'pours' the absinthe..." since Absinthe is a green liquid and wouldn't be subject to being bored into !
Secondarily, could this line, "Down in Chinatown wo-ooah, With the dragon eyes that overlook the bay" actually be ..."with the dragon eyes that overlook the face"? I saw it written once this way on a rare Youtube account. Either works but I wonder the appropriate flow.
Anyone agree and have suggestion? I love the song and would be very excited to find official lyrics. My 20 cents! Pamela ArtographyPamela (talk) 02:58, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
