Fair use rationale for Image:Prncess Bride.jpg

edit

Replaced Image with properly credited image from movie listing.

Image:Prncess Bride.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The image Image:Classicfm logo.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Proposing article for deletion per WP:PROD

edit

There are not enough credible sources to keep this article. Archer Drezelan (talk) 00:11, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the PROD tag as, given the article history and claims of notability, it is not "uncontestably deletable" (which is the guideline for nominating articles as stated at WP:PROD). AfD is a more appropriate venue for deletion of a long standing sourced article where notability and depth of sourcing is an issue. --Jezebel'sPonyoshhh 14:11, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
See my comments on Conflict of Interest. User User:Benfeing looks like he accidentally identified himself as Tom McGrath when he created the John Gore (theater producer) page. The revision history shows he has edited his own page. He has also created and edited several pages for people related to his company, Key Brand Entertainment, as well as the company page, itself. -- Nusumareta (talk) 04:18, 3 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest

edit

See my comments on the same matter in Talk:John Gore (theater producer). It appears in that article that User:Benfeing identifies himself as the "Thomas B. McGrath" with his comments when he created the page. Given that the John Gore subject of that article works for the same company, it seems more than reasonable that this user is the subject of this article. This user has also contributed extensively to this page and I suspect that a lot of the anonymous IP edits to this page are linked to him, or his company. -- Nusumareta (talk) 04:05, 3 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

A second conflict of interest. Here is the ARIN record for the IP address range of the anonymous user (204.110.112.2) who created and extensively edited this article in 2005:

A lot of this was CV and pure puffery. I've done sledgehammer cleanup to those bits, but it still needs rewriting as neutral. Seraphimblade Talk to me 15:32, 3 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

More conflicts: there are anonymous edits from User:63.99.186.126. The following ARIN record shows that this net block belongs to Key Brand Entertainment:
