I was doing some burial record searches regarding the victims, specifically the one who was reported as “Riogley Stewart McKenzie”, who was killed in Baggs. I found a guy named Pedgely Stewart McKenzie, who died in late August, 1974 and is buried in Rawlins. I have a few things to prove my suspicions regarding his identify, first off all, most of the victims this person killed or is suspected to have killed were in 1974. Secondly, Rawlins & Baggs are both in Carbon County. Finally the burial report for Rawlins, Wyoming lists the man named Pedgely Stewart McKenzie on page 81 and has a burial plot as further proof. This makes me believe that the reports misidentified the victim. Here is the burial report page below:
