Now that the article has specified that Deuvia is named after him, and that this talk page (but not yet the article) states that he authored over 100 taxa, I am utterly convinced he meets our notability guidelines. In fact, I'd wondered which idiot might have suggested he wasn't notable in the first place. But then spotted I'd put the tag on there myself! I am delighted to now remove it. But please help reviewing editors to appreciate notability by putting salient points into a new article right from the outset, please. It saves a lot of time and heartache.
