Purpose of thermopause page is to provide understanding of the end of thermally-dominated behavior of atmospheric constituents.

Thermopause vs. Exobase

edit

The thermopause and exobase would seem to be the same item or stratum. The in broad terms, the difference between the two pages is:

Thermopause

edit

Declares the end of pure insolation. Absorption (or various types) begins below here. This also includes UV and up. It is the beginning (here on down) of the impetus for particle action.

Exobase

edit

Declares the end of thermally-dominated particle action. Free motion begins above here. Therefore this describes the boundary of a change of energy transfer between particles.

Combine Exobase from Exosphere and Thermopause here

A suggestion. And explain the difference in nuance or meaning as given above! Cheers Samoojas (talk) 17:40, 10 August 2012 (UTC) (I'll probably start on it soon)Reply
