Origin of title

The title seems to derive from Southern Harmony, an 1835 music book originally titled in full The Southern Harmony, and Musical Companion. Does anyone know how the Black Crowes chose this title? Rigadoun (talk) 03:17, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Seems to derive from? Try "is an obvious reference to." The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion: Containing a choice collection of tunes, hymns, psalms, odes, and anthems (1835), compiled and edited by William Walker, is a landmark of early American music. There's no way a Southern band full of longtime professional musicians wouldn't have some members who recognized the title.

Personnel

Why is there no mentioned of Eddie Harsch providing piano and organ on the album? He joined the band on tour in support of "Shake your Moneymaker" and stayed on as a permanent recording member beginning with "Southern Harmony".
