I removed comment regarding Hannity attacking those who disagree with him on the war by calling them liberals. He is no more likely to put that label on anti-war folks than those who hold other views which are generally considered non-conservative. There seems no reason to highlight this one specific issue.
10-1-07: Restored more specific text in favor of "adhere to the GOP party line" as GOP has no 'party line' on border policy. That there is no unity on this subject (right up to the President) is in fact one of Sean's main complaints. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.91.173.36 (talk) 22:04, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
References
editI've never updated a Wiki page before, so bear with me... This article uses a reference to my old blog. That link is dead now, but I have an archive of my old blog up on a different URL, so I wanted to edit the link to reflect that. The old link is refence #1, "http://loadedmouth.com/node/4116?PHPSESSID=101dc8a46392d841849d911d3c4e2ed9"; the link I wanted to replace this with is "http://iftheaccidentwill.nfshost.com/lm/?q=node/4116". Everytime I try editing this section, though, it only says "reflist" and I don't know how to edit the reflist. Tasfourohone (talk) 19:06, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Logo hannity.jpg
editImage:Logo hannity.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Text removal: "Stop Obama Express"
editI removed the following text: "Mr. Hannity and his radio listeners were very influential in the democratic presidential primaries in 2008 and no doubt the Stop Obama Express will be a thorn in the side of the democratic party presidential general election in November 2008." It reeks of bias on the part of somebody who supports it, and provides no evidence to even support the claim that it was influential. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshc99 (talk • contribs) 05:55, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Why does it say "successful completion of the Stop Hillary Express"??? What evidence at all is their that Sean Hannity's radio show had anything to do with Hillary not winning the Democratic Primary? I belive their is none whatsoever. I think the successful completetion verbage should be removed immediately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Punkrocker27ka (talk • contribs) 02:15, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
- Comment: Well, of course it did. She lost, didn't she? FYI, the text was removed. Perhaps it is time (four years later) to roll again. Yes, it was removed in the previous election cycle. Time to stop HRClinton, again? Just asking :=) Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 12:04, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
Death of Marty
editJust a note for possible future inclusion in the article. On his show today, Sean Hannity announced having received word of the death of frequent "Trash the Lines" segment caller Marty Kenney (1918-2008), a crusty-sounding World War II veteran. Whenever Marty would come on the line, Hannity would exclaim, almost shouting, "Marty!!!"

Obama
editHi, I removed the following from the page:
"Sean Hannity is advocating for a violent overthrow of the Obama administration on his own website. [7]. As of February 26, 2009 50% of his fans want to violently overthrow the duly elected Obama administration. [8][9][10] Sean Hannity has not been charged with inciting treason or sedition, despite the the legal definition of treason: "The Constitution of the United States, Art. III, defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. This offence is punished with death. By the same article of the Constitution, no person shall be convicted of treason, unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court." [11]
http://forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?t=1326121"
While I don't like Hannity by any means, this is just a flat out lie. A quick visit to the poll in question reveals that the poll was started on his website's forum, and the discussion was started by one user who wanted to gauge the mood of people who posted on the forums who were talking about a violent overthrow of the government (NOT Hannity himself). On page three of the forums, the OP of the poll states: "Let me clarify that I am completely against any such action. I am posting the thread to learn if people are really thinking about these things. In my view it is abhorrent." Quoted post. Also, "50% of his fans want to violently overthrow the duly elected Obama administration".. as of 4:30 AM Eastern, only 51 people have voted on the poll. As exciting as it may be to imagine Hannity being so marginalized that he only has 50 fans, this is obviously false.

Moved to K-EIB, Patriot Radio
editPatriot Radio 1150-AM KEIB is the new home in Los Angeles of the Sean Hannity radio show, moving from 790 KABC. — Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 04:41, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
This is funny!
editApparently, (I would guess), the website listed here for the 'Sean Hannity Fan Club' lapsed, and was picked up by "Black Lives Matter" and redirected to their radical website. ('Radical' to those of us who want racial peace, noting that "All Lives Matter".) Anyway, I removed the line, which was, for the record: "* Hannity Fan Club", (* [www.seanhannity.org Hannity Fan Club]).
I also fixed the 'profile' line, since it went to a speakers bureau with a picture of someone else. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 12:25, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- That is funny. Good catch though. Niteshift36 (talk) 14:17, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
Campaign activity (and coverage)
editA lot can be added to current Sean Hannity 2016 Republican Primary (activity). Rather than promote any specific candidate, like Trump or Cruz, Hannity gives access to all current candidates. He was accused by a Hillary-supporter-blogger of supporting Trump, and his radio team documented the time spent (TV team also) and the radio time was proportionally spread. Plus on the radio, Hannity and guest scheduler said the active Republican candidates can call in at any time and have radio time. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 10:15, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
