editI thought I would add some info and pics to this article based on my experiences exploring The Compound and on what I've heard from others. I'm not that great at writing articles, so if what I wrote seems awkward to you, please feel free to edit them. Thanks!Gangis 20:38, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
I don't think the area of The Compound is actually 122 square miles... That seems way too large! By using the measuring tool in Google Earth, the most accurate measurement I came up with was 6mi x 2mi, or 12 square miles. My guess is that the author forgot a decimal point, so it would be 12.2 square miles. Edited article as such. Gangis 20:43, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Government Testing
edit- I work for one of the large local defense contractors. We have folks out there occasionally doing radio testing. It's nothing nefarious like the kid who wrote on the article implied, just a convenient place to drive around. Don't get too close to any antennas you find so you don't get blasted by RF energy, but feel free to keep flying planes out there. It's just engineers, not government agents! --72.189.167.98 (talk) 00:06, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
