Downdraughts and windshear

edit

I have modified this article a little to lessen the force of the blame on aircrew error. There is strong evidence that they may have encountered strong wind-shear and/or downdraughts during the approach. The caravelle with its low power loading would be hard pushed to fly its way out of even a moderate mini-burst down-draught, and there was little understanding of them in those days. Personally I think the crew were very hard done by, and probably didnot deserve such harsh criticism.Petebutt (talk) 18:40, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Typhoon Anita

Did Anita actually affect the crash? I haven't found any source stating it, but I'm just asking in case I missed any. Tavantius (talk) 14:45, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind, found sources on Google Newspapers stating so. Y'know, this could be expanded significantly, however, I am not at all versed in making crash articles. Maybe someday... Tavantius (talk) 16:50, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
