editI have removed the following badly placed unsourced statement from an anon ip editor:
“ | It was actually Martin Johnstone who was dubbed 'Mr Asia' by the media, not Terry Clark, who in the early days of 'The Organisation' was very concerned with remaining anonymous. | ” |
It mentions that Terry Clark may have faked his own death, yet does not actually add any source for this or explain how someone in a maximum security jail would be able to do so! Could someone with more wiki editing skill than me rectify this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.196.145.145 (talk) 02:08, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
I have reorganised references to the "Underbelly 2" television series as this is incidental to the subject of the article, and an unreliable source. I am concerned that promoters of the television program are using single purpose accounts to back-fill wikipedia for promotional purposes. ProlixDog (talk) 16:40, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
The Ollard killing
editThe article indicates that Clark killed Ollard burying the body in the Kuringai Chase but this claim is not cited. In the well researched 1981 book by Richard Hall titled "Greed - The 'Mr Asia' connection" on page 54 he says "The bodies of Ollard and Theilman have never been found. According to members of the Organisation, Clark said they had been buried under cement construction work at Sydney's International Airport". Sintch (talk) 00:19, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
I included a reference to 'Diamond Jim' Shephard's book Mr Asia last man standing to cite the claim that Ollard was killed at the Kuringai Chase. In 1980 Richard Hall claimed that Ollard and Thielman were buried under construction at the Sydney Airport.
Replace reference to Shephard's book with that of the Royal Commission report which better confirms the account given in this section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sintch (talk • contribs) 22:23, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Norma Fleet
editWhile it is certainly true that Norma was a heroin addict, she was much more than that. I witnessed Clark doting on her around the time they married. As Norma was well known to the police, he would have known she was in many ways a liability. For some time, Norma charmed him.
I am sure the marriage was legally recognised as the prison would not have put on a reception otherwise. I attended the reception as one of a small number of non-resident guests.
I have searched in vain (from the UK) for details such as her date and place of birth, the date and location of her death, where an inquest was held and her place of burial. Norma was part Maori. If she told me which tribes or tribes she was descended from, I have forgotten.
If anyone has further details, please post them here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wendwell (talk • contribs) 18:20, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
