Haulotte Group

As mentioned in the article on Haulotte Group, Terex were in negotiations to sell their European operations to Haulotte, but the deal fell through. Anyone want to add this to the Terex article? Mjroots (talk) 09:18, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Corporate History + Takeovers

There appears to be little info on the actual growth of Terex from the GM days, and info on all the companies that now build up the company, most of this reads as if its the companies own publicity blurb as its just recent stuff.

Most other engineering companies of similar complex histories have a time line summary of growth, and some reference to product range and development. For example see caterpillar or Massey-Ferguson as these have far more relevant info for people looking for company history info in general, and not corporate financial statements which you would look for on a corporate site or financial ref agency web site.

Terex has plants world wide, so why no info on this as the plant at Motherwell in Scotland goes back to 1940s

Ref to break up of GM under antitrust laws in the sixties and split of Euclid from GM etc. only gets one brief line, but corporate culture gets a full paragraph. Looking back at the edit history it appears that a chunk listing other companies in the group has been purged, yet it is an important part of the corporate build up and history of the company. These companies should be listed with internal wiki links to the relavent company articles in the same way most of them finish with a ref to being taken over by Terex. Nor is there any mention of Euclid before it was purchased by GM.Barnaby the Scrivener (talk) 14:51, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Need to do more, this is a start

This section was inadequate, to say the least, in as much as most of the Terex of today has no links to the GM Euclid/GM Terex division and the Hudson plant. It also included a reference to "street legal" Terex trucks using Ford components, post GM. Since Terex trucks are all off-road models this reference made no sense.

Much more needs to be done to this article, but I offer these as an example of what can be done.
