I am having trouble understanding the phrase "allow SUS ratings to be positioned relative to other systems." Does it mean that Bangor et al's normative data allows them to compare systems reliably based on their SUS scores?

In the text it's written that the scale is developed in 1986 but the reference it refers belongs to 1996. Is there a mistake in the text? 212.251.211.166 (talk) 10:52, 4 June 2016 (UTC)

No, I originally developed this in 1986 and it was documented in an internal DEC tech report. The formal publication was in 1996. - DrJohnBrooke (talk) 11:11, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Notability?

I have concerns about notability of this article. While the SUS may be great and useful tool the article doesn't suggest its acceptance among professionals. Being described in one book does not feel like sufficient reason to have article here, IMHO. I would be only happy to be proven wrong (and see the article improved). Well, if you do a search for System Usability Scale on Google, you'll find it cited in a couple of hundred publications. But hey. It's up to you guys. I might have been tempted to contribute more content on issues such as the ISO standards on usability, which I worked on, but obviously it's more important to have encyclopedia articles on television sitcoms -- John Brooke, 24/01/06
