Suzuki Baleno (Supermini) → Suzuki Baleno – There is only one different alternative in the current Suzuki Baleno set index article. This can be covered with a hatnote template redirecting to the other article, which is Suzuki Cultus Crescent. BaboneCar (talk) 09:45, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

• Support In any case, the Suzuki Cultus Crescent article already has a hatnote pointing to the the Suzuki Baleno name article. Suzuki Cultus Crescent is the primary name for the model, and Suzuki Baleno is simply a rebadging for some markets. This article covers the car whose primary name is "Baleno". The only possible hurdle would be WP:COMMONAME, but I don't think that's a problem as the Cultus Crescent make a significative use of references in Japanese, where both cars use different names. --Urbanoc (talk) 11:34, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

  Baleno is the common name for both in Europe. The Japanese name isn't used because it's the most commonly used in English, but because of naming conventions used when different names are used in different English-speaking countries. Peter James (talk) 21:37, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

Either way the consensus of this request will go, the car was first available in India in October 2015, so in the version you proposed the title should be "Suzuki Baleno (2015)". I made an adjustment to the article to reflect this fact. BaboneCar (talk) 08:55, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

• Support as apparent primary topic. It's tricky, but bear with me. Since this article was created last week, it's gotten 812 views (116 a day), compared to 1183 views (169 a day) for Suzuki Cultus Crescent.[1] However, it's highly unlikely that all or most readers of Suzuki Cultus Crescent got there by searching "Suzuki Baleno". Most likely, a significant number of them got there looking for "Suzuki Cultus Crescent", "Suzuki Esteem" (as it was known in the Americas), "Suzuki Cultus" (as it was known in Japan), etc. Indeed, before it was converted to a dab page, Suzuki Baleno was only averaging 46 hits a day as a redirect to the Cultus Crescent article, and some of them were probably actually looking for the Supermini.
  

As such, it looks to me that the current Baleno, which is called that in all markets, has the edge. As this is a WP:TWODABS situation, disambiguation will be just as easy with hat notes as with a dab page with only two entries.--Cúchullain ^t/c 14:44, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

This article is woefully inadequate. Could someone familiar with the car please add a little meat to these bones? This car is sold in Australia & many other places, someone must have more info please. Suzuki Baleno (2015) → Suzuki Baleno – Abitoby moved this page to Suzuki Baleno and Baleno RS without any discussion. Personally, I dont see this title is needed as sport variant isn't needed to listed on title. I moved them to Suzuki Baleno (2015), but I guess year isn't necessary either. Next generation

Anyone have an idea where we should put the 2022 new generation model when it arrives? The title heavily implies a single-generation article, and I wouldn't recommend creating Suzuki Baleno (2022) either because it would became somewhat confusing and excessive. In my opinion, it's a major facelift because there's no change on the body's structure. Not like 2022 S-Cross where Suzuki changed the D pillar. But we have wait the official press release. Haysnawri10 (talk) 00:38, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

Andra Febrian, since that model has been unveiled, I think it should be considered as a major facelift rather than a entirely new generation model as I've checked Autocar India, the body remained unchanged apart from the new front and rear fascia and a new dashboard. And also 101.128.126.6, I've compared the outgoing model to the newer model, it appears the sides appeared to be identical apart from the chrome garnish on the new one. The scope of the changes are exactly the same with the third-generation SX4, if the new SX4 is a new generation then this is too. I did a side-by-side comparison from three angles and it appears the only unchanged body panel is the roof panel, exactly how they did it with the SX4.
