Text and/or other creative content from Hallyburton Johnstone Shield was copied or moved into Super Smash (cricket)#Women's tournament on 12 March 2021. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. |
On 3 April 2021, it was proposed that this article be moved from Super Smash (cricket) to Super Smash (men's cricket). The result of the discussion was moved. |
Page title / redirects
editI have moved the page away from a sponsored name to what seems to be the enduring sponsor-free name (allowing for the disambiguation). When the current sponsorship runs out and the tournament is renamed, I would suggest leaving this page where it is and creating a new redirect with the new sponsored name. All the previous links to the page will still work and articles linking to the sponsored name prevailing at the time of use will still work (and indeed links should be left unchanged). There is the remnants of a related previous version of this talk page at Talk:HRV Cup where previous move requests were made. It looks as if the main article was created as a c+p of the old HRV Cup which was then redirected. This seems to be an error and needs to be fixed, but I don't know how! Super Smash (cricket) → Super Smash (men's cricket) – Super Smash is also the name of the women's competition, which now has a separate article Super Smash (women's cricket). As such, (cricket) is an incomplete disambiguation, as both are cricket tournaments. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:42, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
