Cast

edit

@TheVampire: Per MOS:TVCAST and their example for Fringe, the cast is separated into main and recurring, not separated into seasons. The (season 1–2) is also placed after the character name not at the end. Also the random commented out episodes are removed - where in the MOS is that necessary? There is no separation into seasons. There's a separation between main actors credited in the main list and recurring actors credited in the second list. The division into season is for those recurring characters who only appear in one season and it's just a way to avoid writing (season1) for each of them.--TheVampire (talk) 17:23, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
@TheVampire: The credits that role at the end of the show? All the names just appear at the end with no indication as to who is main and recurring. Do you have a written source that these characters are all "main" - how can it be justified that someone like "Alessandro Proietti as Alex" is a main character without an actual source?? Outlander doesn't even list the two dozen actors as main. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 18:36, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Cast credits are lists of names which are only interrupted by other credits or by markers like Starring or Guest Starring. Some shows have opening titles, some don't. Outlander has a list of actors which appear in the opening and those are considered main cast (a continuous list beginning with Catriona Balfe and Sam Heughan), while the ones at the end are considered guests. For Suburra, the first block is considered main. It starts with Alessandro Borghi and it continues uninterrupted until another crew credit comes on. Then, later in the titles, the additional guest cast is credited. This is the division between main and secondary cast for Suburra. The fact that an opening is not present does not justify inventing a separation after Gerini. The division is given by the credits and it must be respected. As per the "Starring" in the Template the MOS suggests adding the most recognisable actors if lists are long. For Outlander, it's Balfe and Heughan, for Suburra it is the main characters whose storylines merge together.--TheVampire (talk) 19:13, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
