selected papers
editSo far there is only one paper listed, but he's pretty famous and has done more than network stuff. Someone should go through the selected publications on his webpage and pick out a few that seem to be heavily cited, appears in most selective journals, etc. I don't have time to do that unfortunately. --C S (Talk) 06:25, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- Google Scholar next time. Average Earthman 07:17, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, that's not what I'm talking about. I was referring to taking some care to make a good selection of papers, not just arbitrarily picking the top hits from Google Scholar. Thanks for your suggestion anyhow. --C S (talk) 01:40, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Napoleon Hill on natures networks
editIn Napoleon Hill's book- Success, he writes- "the really great leaders of the world, however, seem to have been provided by nature with such a favourable mind chemistry that it acts as a nucleus of attraction for other minds."
Could he be talking of the born leaders of our society that are in fact hubs in natures networks.
Erdos-Bacon number
editSteven has the lowest Erdos-Bacon number known, can we please put this in the article. This is significant.118.210.228.51 (talk) 14:39, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
- Given that he is known for his work on small-world networks, I'd agree, though in his case it was clearly deliberate, since the film that gives him the low Bacon number was a documentary about the phenomenon, and they hired Kevin Bacon to be in the movie just for that purpose. Most of the other people with Erdos-Bacon numbers have them by happenstance... 199.76.66.200 (talk) 14:29, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
