Talk:Steven Horsford

I've deleted inaccurate info from this article that has been placed and/or restored by User Marquardtika. For instance, the article claims the subject of the article had his "Senate" license plate. He had no such official plate, but instead had a personalized plate. The prior text created by "M" or some other likely boiler room editor was skewed to vilify or disparage the subject of the article. Legitimately sourced and balanced material was removed to restore inaccurate and/or biased text, a clear NPOV violation. I can't imagine all that hype got there from an editor who wasn't working "on the clock." Activist (talk) 02:29, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

I gave more detail on the license plate to clarify it was personalized plates. Your edit included the text "Horsford was extremely remorseful Subsequently, he pledged to work harder on disabled rights issues, donated $1,000 to a Nevada non-profit that provides disability services, and served on a committee focused on such issues." There are a number of issues here. "Horsford was extremely remorseful"...we don't and can't know how he or anyone felt. We can report what they said. That's what my edit did, by including the text "Horsford apologized, saying 'There was no excuse, it should have never happened.'" You also said he donated to a nonprofit--again, we don't know that he did--we just know that he said that he did. Do you see the difference? My edit clarified that, and the meaning of the amount that he donated (the amount he would have been fined had he received a fine). I wanted to explain those edits but I don't plan to comment here further; I've pinged MelanieN for help in dealing with your repeated accusations of COI (which really should be handled on user talk pages, not on article talk pages).
