His nickname
editIn the lead, he's referred to as Stephen Laurel "tWitch" Boss. In the article, he is referred to as "Twitch". Does anyone have any insight into the true capitalization of his nickname? Any thoughts on referring to him by this rather than "Boss" in the body of the article? Kirby777 (talk) 21:56, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- He was always introduced as tWitch by Ellen DeGeneres Dbainsford (talk) 16:42, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- All of this is a bit silly since tWitch went by TWiTCH too in the past. Infactinteresting (talk) 20:49, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Stop changing his death date
editThe medical examiners reports clearly state he died the 13th not the 14th please stop changing it and spreading false information 2600:1010:B160:275E:F44F:C850:836C:A739 (talk) 15:36, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Page name
edit@Amakuru: a Google search would demonstrate that the inclusion of "tWitch" is incredibly common in all articles about him. This was his common name, I do not see why the move reversal was warranted, as WP:NICKNAME states "To summarize: avoid such a stylization unless it is found in the name in the overwhelming majority of independent reliable sources", which is exactly what is happening. As well, the vast majority of his television appearances on Ellen, So You Think You Can Dance, and his film appearances credit him as Stephen "tWitch" Boss. - @Rusted AutoParts: fair enough, I've checked again and you're right, the nickname is almost ubiquitous. I've re-moved the page. Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 20:25, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Single topic editor
editAn editor using an IP probably from a library, school, or college is attempting to influence this article. They appear to think the reactions of Twitch's friends and co-workers is not of importance. They argue that Twitter and perhaps Instagram are not "significant". Not only are they incorrect about that the more important thing or the crux of this is the reactions should be documented.Infactinteresting (talk) 05:41, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- I don't think we need an exhaustive list, but if we want to put up a mention of how his death made an impact that was grieved throughout the industry (sourced) and use some of the names as examples, I would be down with that. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 06:24, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
YCDB, if you could find sources other than Insta and Twitter since that user is diametrically opposed. I was saying Viola Davis, MC Hammer, Channing Tatum, Questlove are good examples. I'm fine with you posting those.Infactinteresting (talk) 21:53, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
- I put in a prospective section, I switched out MC Hammer with a politician just to make it more spread out regarding the professions being represented, hopefully this is okay. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 23:00, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
Why did he commit suicide
editThe article reads strangely - he committed suicide, but no cause or explanation given. Depression? Drugs? I find it very strange that a person would commit suicide when he/she has young children in the world. Very self-centered. Betathetapi454 (talk) 20:09, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
- I'm guessing overwhelming pain. Emphasis on the over. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 20:26, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
- Pain from what?? Medical condition? Marriage falling apart? Career not progressing well?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Betathetapi454 (talk • contribs) 08:46, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- If it comes out we'll let you know, if not there's no problem with it remaining a mystery. YouCanDoBetter (talk) 09:22, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Suicides are usually multi-factorial, so there probably isn't any simple answer. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:49, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
