I propose that Starting gate and Starting barrier be merged. They are basically about the same device, and very similar in content, though the differences are enough that a straight redirect of one to the other is not advised. I take no position on which title to keep, it's a US English versus a UK English question, and one I hope can be resolved with good faith discussion and consensus. My only issue is that it is clearly unnecessary to have two near-identical articles. I suggest perhaps seeing which article already has the most incoming links and/or which will be the easier edit to perform a merge. Montanabw(talk)00:47, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
AGREE. Perfect candidates for merger. I am easy about the naming so long as all variations - gate/barrier/stalls get a mention Peaky76 (talk) 17:23, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Not sure if it's just me, but it looks like a Sterliline fan or employee has added some company propaganda to this page, and is using it as a bit of a backlink farm. I'm not well versed enough to know if this is suitable or not, but not a fan of the vibes
It's not just you. You're right about the promotional content, it should go. I added a template message so it gets found out easier, but haven't got the time to edit the paragraphs myself. Jóna Bók (talk) 23:04, 27 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
