editi dont see how this article was a copyright violation. The website http://speakerloksabha.nic.in/speakeroff/officels.htm is a govt of india website and has no copyright disclaimer on it. also i did not get what u mean by articles did not exist on other Wikipedias.
- The government of India can hold copyrights, as far as I can tell from the Indian Copyright Act. The absence of a copyright statement does not necessarily imply the absence of copyright. --rbrwr± 19:46, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- i changed the page to a stub. I have also emailed the webmaster of the site for clarification and permission to use content of the website. kaal 23:23, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Copyvio
editMoved from Wikipedia:Copyright problems:
- Speaker of Lok Sabha from [1]. Oddly, user seems to be well aware of Wikipedia, going so far as to include interwiki links. However, the titles of those pages were all in English. Shortly, I will check to see if they, too are copyvios. - Vague | Rant 02:47, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
- Odd. The articles did not exist on other Wikipedias. - Vague | Rant 02:49, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
- The original contributor restored the text, went on editing it and left a mesage on Talk saying it was government work and it didn't have a copyright statement on it. I have replied and put the copyvio biolerplate back. --rbrwr± 19:50, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)

As no action has been taken on this in just under two months, I have deleted the copyrighted material from the article's history. -- Cyrius|✎ 01:54, 20 Feb 2005 (UTC)
List of Speaker Serial Number 15
editYour list mentions Ms. Meira Kumar as the present Speaker from 30th May, 2009 to present. The fact is that the election for Speaker is scheduled only on 3rd June, 2009, i.e. tomorrow.
Hence the date needs correction. 122.252.246.234 (talk) 18:14, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Speaker can't be disqualified for wrongly certifying the money bill
editWrongly certifying a bill as a money bill doesn't qualify as disrespecting the constitution and speaker can't be disqualified. The wire article link tagged for this section doesn't mention disqualification. Ajithrshenoy (talk) 11:30, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
