Merger with fsm doesn't work because of the volatility of the fsm page. E.g., if someone reading the NY Times article went to Wikipedia to find out what SPAM is, they would be redirected to fsm where there is no mention of SPAM.
I changed the fsm page to mention spam, but that won't necessarily last. The solution is to have very brief articles such as this SPAM article that can stand alone and not be affected by changes on other pages.
