COPYVIO alert
editThis page looks really copyvio'd from other pages. The section "Vertical Green" is copied from http://www.sino-land.com/eng/default.asp?xid=media_press_detail&name=000526 (diff), with little changes to the text. The section "Art in Hong Kong" is copied from http://www.artinhk.com/ (diff, with no changes to the text. Whereas the section "History" is partly copied from http://www.bre.polyu.edu.hk/school/WebCompetition05/WDC_2005/39/18.swf, with no changes (diff).
The first and third of these were done by user of IP range 160.96.200.34-37, which is registered to IDA Singapore. The second, whereas is done by Xdavidng. I don't know what to do. Should I just delete those info, or report it in Wikipedia:Copyright violations, or put the copyvio template on it? And also, should I notify the user? Help. ~Milnivri~ 16:29, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing this out. Given the extensive violation, I have deleted this material from history, to help protect its accidental restoration. Ordinarily, you would notify the users who introduced the text with {{subst:uw-copyright|Article}}, you would restore to the last version before copyright violations were introduced, note in the edit summary what you're doing and leave a note at the article's talk page warning against restoration. Working WP:CP, I get to do a lot of this, so I've created my own template for the purpose, here. Feel free to use it should you like if you encounter such a situation again. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:20, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
hoax
editI am afraid Sino Group did not existed as an incorporated corporation. Rather, it is the common name for the group of companies headed by Tsim Sha Tsui Properties as the parent company, Sino Land and Sino Hotels as subsidiaries. Thus there is not much need to fork out article unless they are passing WP:GNG, WP:NCORP and did not WP:overlap much. Matthew hk (talk) 12:06, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- Also, media did not consider Yeo Hiap Seng as part of the group despite it is owned by Ng family via Far East Organization. Matthew hk (talk) 12:16, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
