WrestleView.com
editUpon looking at all the websites that are reliable, this website is stated as reliable but only for television and pay-per-view results. I just wanted to put this up here because I may be reading this wrong.I will not remove the statement that has this website as a source right now but a better source should be provided.(MgTurtle (talk) 02:24, 14 April 2010 (UTC))
Drafted by the Padres?
editThis article currently claims Diamond/Kenney was drafted by the San Diego Padres in 1986. Look at Baseball-reference.com's complete draft database, this is pretty clearly not true. Here's a list of all the players drafted by the Padres that year:
The source cited (Online World of Wrestling) states he was drafted in the 34th round out of Salesianum High School. Again, this is clearly not true. If you look at the link above, the Padres didn't draft ANYONE in the 34th round that year–they only drafted through the 27th round (at the time, the baseball draft had no set limit on how many rounds there were; instead, teams could choose to stop drafting whenever they wanted, and the draft went on until every team had stopped drafting). Also, here's a list of all players drafted out of Salesianum High School. There's no Pat Kenney on the list, and the Padres have never drafted any player from that school:
http://www.baseball-reference.com/draft/?query_type=came_from&came_from=Salesianum&
It's possible that the Padres offered him a contract, but the claim that they drafted him is pretty clearly and demonstrably wrong. Jcb9 (talk) 05:38, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
