I'd challenge the date of death. It's unlikely that the date of death and news/source publish date are the same. This, as a recent death, would fall under BLP, so if we don't have another source for the date of death in few days I'd suggest we remove that date from the article.(Littleolive oil (talk) 21:58, 15 September 2017 (UTC))Reply
If you look in the history: that has been done. I gave up when the official obituary of the state theatre gave that same date, while the press article gave no date. - We may have to change when a Traueranzeige appears, - it did for Aloys Kontarsky (correcting 12 to 10), after Le Monde had also written the wrong date, but it is no longer available. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:10, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

The majority of articles on Maestro Köhler gave 1974 as the start of his tenure in Wiesbaden, as well as the digitised programme booklet from this page. Based on these, I have put 1974 as the start year for his Wiesbaden tenure. DJRafe (talk) 14:26, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
