The article states "On 2009-01-25, Shaun became the second competitor, after Tanner Hall, to win a gold medal in the Superpipe in consecutive years at the Winter X Games". But, in the "Achievements, recognition and popular culture" section, it states "He is the first snowboarder to win back-to-back gold medals in the Winter X-Games Superpipe." Shaun White is engaged to Nina Dobrev. The engagement happened this month, October 2024. The sources are both Shaun White and Nina Dobrev themselves announcing the news October 30th, 2024.
