Hi, I am trying to find out if this animal actually exists and is not in fact some cryptozoological myth that's been perpetuated for several years and simply taken as a fact. The sources listed are all tourist sites (which call into question their veracity) and no where on the net can I find anything about this so-called Shapi that isn't the same few lines found on these same sites. There is no binomial nomenclature found for it, no photos, no anything. As such I believe it should be placed at the very least in the cryptozooid section. 170.215.186.138 (talk) 15:11, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Shapi revisited
editAfter a bit of searching, I found this link, http://www.indiaenvironmentportal.org.in/node/18764?quicktabs_2=1 , which lists the Shapi as a subspecies of Himalayan Tahr and as this is the only real evidence of their existence (beyond some gov't run tourism sites) I would like to suggest the shapi should be merged with the Himalayan tahr page and the goat-antelope page updated to end the confusion. 69.247.14.191 (talk) 00:06, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
Agreed. I will make the change to the goat-antelope page, but I don't really know how to merge pages.12.106.183.194 (talk) 14:44, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
