editShanice scored 2 top 5 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, so I don't think she is a "one hit wonder" she also scored a top 20 hit in 1999 on the Billboard Hot 100, 3 Top 20 hits in the US doesn't make you a one hit wonder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.195.93.26 (talk) 00:52, 20 June 2005 (UTC)
I heard that the new album may come out October 25, 2005 - anonymous69.249.114.154|22:25, 29 September 2005 (UTC)}}
The new album
editcomes out February 21, 2006 according to amazon.com. Jjmcspooh 05:27, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
There are two conflicting claims in the main article pertaining to whether Shanice does, or does not, sing the backing vocal on the above song. Someone must know which is correct. Can they correct the main article accordingly, because at the present time it reads badly. For that matter, why does Unbreak My Heart wikilink to an article that claims the song's title is "Un-Break My Heart" ?! Or, is it just me.

- That's why I'm here too. --Royalbroil 18:43, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, my copy lists Shanice as doing backing vocals - so can someone please put a source to verify this? And explain why she's listed on there if it's actually Sherre Ford Payne singing.
Vocal Profile
editCouldn't the person who added a vocal profile for Shanice be a little more creative rather than cutting and pasting something that has been on another page for such a long time ago. In any event such gesture is appreciated.....July 18, 2006.

Whistle Dispute
editI have taken the difficulty to research and come up with what I believe is enough evidence to cement Shanice's name on the whistle register list. Anyone who has difficulties accepting this need to produce evidence as to why these sources are unacceptable. (Kudeh) 9/01/2006
Shanice Five octave Vocal range
editI would appreciate if editors of Wikipedia's pages do not go around distorting information. All the independent searches that I have done always credit Shanice to possess a five octave vocal range. I do not care if the last person who edited Shanice's page thinks to him/herself from him/her expertise in vocal range that Shanice possess a four octave range, the information available on the internet says five so unless persons who believe otherwise can come up with independent music reviewers saying four, then I DO NOT THINK persons from their personal opinion should be changing facts...It is shameful that someone would go to such a length to please his/her opinion. For example David Nathan in Shanice's biography written in her Ultimate Collection, credits Shanice for having five octave vocal range. I bought that album twice first in 2000 and second here in 2006 and I do not see where changes have been made in the biography so how can such a person distort a fact...Please bring references to prove your points..Isn't that what is required by Wikipedia? Furthermore, if Debelah Morgan can be credited with five octave then why Shanice can't be said to have that range when clearly Shanice has a stonger voice both while whistling or in her high range and when she is singing her lower register. Oct. 2, 2006 [Kudeh]
Any singer claiming to have a certain range needs to verify it by stating their actual lowest and highest note. It will clear up any misunderstanding. If people can state Mariah Carey's range as being A2-G#7, Christina Aguilera's being C3-C7, I don't see why the same can't also be done with Shanice as well! 26th June 2007 [fossils12]
Your comment is two-folded - Singers don't go about stating their vocal range, other people do so...I too wonder why no one has taken the time out to give a full description on Shanice's vocal range - Especially when that's what critics always commend her for...Maybe her range is too expansive or maybe she is not popular enough...Well whatever the reason, I can only hope that a professional person will take the time to do so, one day.Seetdeh 16:53, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Shanice Ward?
editI do not know why Shanice Wilson name was changed to Shanice Ward, without any reason given. Well I have changed it back and now request that reason be given as Shanice has been known as Wilson all the years. Kudeh 18:26, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Un-Break My Heart
editIt can be put to rest now as to whether Shanice actually sang the backgroud on Toni's Un-Break My Heart. AMG confirms this as referenced in article and I could also provide other sources. Sheree Ford-Payne also contributed to the album (Secrets) but Shanice is given the credit for that particular song. Kudeh 02:47, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, but AMG are just getting their facts from the credits listed in the CD sleeve....we really need a decent source confirming she IS singing on it (to me; it sounds like Shanice singing the "huuuuhhhh" bits and Sheree singing the "say that you love me...tell me you love me...un-break my...." part) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nathan86 (talk • contribs) 12:45, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Shanice
editI am curious why there was no mention of the fact that Shanice was originally discovered on the old television show Star Search. She won 1st prize the season she was on the show. This is where I first heard her sing as a child and was impatiently waiting for the release of her first album. She was fantastic on Star Search, back then, the broader range equivalent of American Idol.--63.215.27.211 00:45, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:EveryWomanDreams.jpg
editImage:EveryWomanDreams.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
