At the end of this section, in the last subsection of legal issue, there is a mistake with the date, when the Jonas brothers changed their lyrics in a concert. The year shoud be 2024. Rayofrivia97 (talk) 02:04, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The artist names of most other musicians on Wikipedia, including musicians that the Diddy article directly links to, are not titled with their legal name but with their stage name, including The Notorious B.I.G, who had different stage/artist names over his career. I'm also pointing Biggie's article name out specifically to say that the Diddy article somehow being 'separate' from the norm because he has had numerous stage names does not make sense. The name of Stefani Germanotta's article on Wikipedia is Lady Gaga. Not Stefani Germanotta. It makes very little sense to deviate from this norm, especially when the stage name is sufficiently precise for the article name.
"Diddy" is already a concise title. Confusion with the song or other characters can be solved with an already existing disambiguation page. Searching "Diddy" on Wikipedia will redirect you to this very page, which just supports that Wikipedia already considers the term 'Diddy' to be concise enough to redirect here.
WP:Common name is an obvious principle here. "Diddy" by far is Sean's most popular name as shown through Ngrams, when compared to "Sean Combs", "P. Diddy" and "Puff Daddy". Unfortunately I cannot verify through wikinav the statistics of how many searches for "Sean Combs" are redirects from Diddy or some variation, but I'm quite certain they far outweigh any direct searches to "Sean Combs".
Nobody is searching for "Sean Combs". They are searching for Diddy. The article already does a well-enough job explaining his other stage names with the opening sentence.

He's not a "former rapper". He's in jail now, so he's not rapping at the moment. This seems to be speculation/WP:CRYSTAL that he's never going to release music again. Nobody knows that. PRicoNMI (talk) 16:37, 25 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Over half our readers are viewing our content on mobile devices so it might be a good idea to remove the file. Or it could possibly just be the Samsung platform that it's not working on? I don't know. Diannaa (talk) 15:28, 24 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
