Municipio?
editIt is more than doubtful that San Luis has been upgraded to a municipio. 1. Its official website is still called "Distrito Municipal San Luis" and there is nothing about this elevation in the History section. 2. Also the ONE list contains San Luis as a Municipal District as well as the list on Municipedia. 3. The Census results from 2010 count 155 municipios (p. 14), the official number now is 158: there are since then 3 new elevations from distrito municipal to municipio: Baitoa, Matanzas and San Victor. On the internet one can find an undated (November 2, 2018 in the URL?) Senate motion for a bill to elevate San Luis, however, not the bill itself. Most probably, the information that San Luis has been elevated is not correct. --Peteremueller (talk) 15:40, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- The Junta confirmed to me today that San Luis is a Distrito municipal. There are efforts to upgrade it to a municipio, but so far nothing the like has been done. I will correct it accordingly. --Peteremueller (talk) 17:56, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
