Please revert removal
editCould you please revert the removal of sourced material by Fred Markey (talk · contribs · Markey WHOIS), it looks like whitewashing for possible financial gain 2001:8003:34A3:800:DC41:DF19:2EC9:4F3C (talk) 21:20, 2 May 2023 (UTC)

- Exactly, Fred Markey (talk · contribs · Markey WHOIS) only edit was to remove sourced material and replace it with unsourced material, why should their edit be kept?2001:8003:34A3:800:DC41:DF19:2EC9:4F3C (talk) 01:15, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

- As far as I can tell the history is: Inserted by Gloveya242 on 5 August 2019. Removed by Willgam on 9 February 2021. Re-inserted by 2001:8003:38c0:900:a117:ca54:b310:567d on 5 April 2021. Re-removed by Fred Markey on 25 June 2021. Re-re-inserted by 110.144.233.67 on 24 May 2024. Re-re-removed by me on 24 May 2024. I don't pretend to know about Mr Zinke's association with a "fraudulent" scheme but I do see that one of the red-linked editors said it's false so the IPs saying "unexplained removal" apparently didn't look as hard as I did. And this request was rejected in 2023. Perhaps one of the IPs would like to persuade and seek consensus? Peter Gulutzan (talk) 14:06, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- You redid an edit based on edit reason of "Explanation and typos" even though that is not an edit reason that has anything with the edit of removing sourced material and inserting unsourced as stated directly above.
- Why does "Explanation and typos" mean an editor can remove sourced material and add in unsourced?2001:8003:3FB4:CF00:380B:504B:710B:781C (talk) 02:56, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- I said, correctly, that one of the red-linked editors said it's false. I linked to the edits I saw. Peter Gulutzan (talk) 15:59, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- That was a seperate edit done by unrelated editor to the edit you "Re-re-removed" by your own reckoning and years before Fred Markey inserted the unsourced material that when you "look hard" was removed by PerpetuityGrat because like 2001:8003:34A3:800:DC41:DF19:2EC9:4F3C said it was unsourced.2001:8003:3FB4:CF00:C496:C6DF:D5D1:164 (talk) 05:59, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- Looking at the first edit, it removed the fully sourced paragraph without references or any policy that prove that is "false". Then it was reversed by another editor with the edit reason "unreferred removal" presumably since Wikipedia is based on reliable sources rather then the unreferenced claims of a one edit account.
- I don't see ow their unproven claims of the sources being false relate to someone else overriding material with unsourced claims 2001:8003:3FB4:CF00:C496:C6DF:D5D1:164 (talk) 08:20, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- Per Peter Gulutzan's above comments pinging @PerpetuityGrat: since Peter Gulutzan thinks that their their reversion of unsourced material was against the rules because Fred Markey (talk · contribs) "said it's false" 2001:8003:3FB4:CF00:596C:9947:38D9:FD8E (talk) 06:57, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

Congressman Zinke has converted to Catholicism, he is no longer Lutheran. Below are 2 links to back up the claim:

- The balance of sources would seem to indicate this is correct - the more recent ones do quote him saying he's Catholic. Still, it would be really nice to have one that explicitly talks about his conversion, to forestall previous edit requests pointing to the many, many places on the web (like the current Pew survey) that still say he's Lutheran. Are you aware of any sources on that topic? I couldn't find one. PianoDan (talk) 17:43, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Not done for now: A dialogue was opened regarding the content of the requested edit and requesting editor has not responded after 30 days. —Sirdog (talk) 09:23, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
