editI don't think endemic is the proper term, since there is a separate term for animals: enzootic. On that grounds, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a different term for plants as well.
- enzootic refers to something being endemic to a particular species of animal. Usually used to refer to diseases. AIDS is enzootic to humans, for example. --143.48.119.25 23:39, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

"Edible but sharp?"
editI suspect the author has never eaten a wineberry. I have a large patch of commercially grown raspberry varieties, and another large patch of native wild raspberry varieties. They're all delicious until the invasive weeds in the forest offer up their inimitable ambrosia. Wineberries are beyond merely "edible," and I find nothing "sharp" about them at all; not even the fuzzy thorns.

- Yeah, you can just delete "but sharp". Ideally these things would be backed up by sources (so people don't have to take your - or my - word for it), but removing something as vague as that (which is not backed up by sources) shouldn't be controversial. Kingdon (talk) 21:28, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
