editI added an image to help illustrate the position for those unfamiliar with grappling, also added a flowchart adapted (to avoid copyright concerns) from Mastering the Rubber Guard book to help illustrate the flowing concept. I'm going to work on developing the written elements further. Jdcollins13 (talk) 18:11, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Origin of the rubber guard
editFunny enough, the rubber guard initial position and the "gogoplata" were already known in judo decades ago (with gi, obviously). You can see them in a 1950's book by Mikinosuke Kawaishi entitled "My method of judo" (page 195 & 196 in the 1960 French edition). LawBasics (talk) 00:48, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
