A Chinese American is an American of Chinese descent, an African American is an American of African descent, and a Mexican American is an American of Mexican descent. So too is it for other countries, such as African Scottish (a Scottish person of African descent) and Chinese Mexicans (A Mexican of Chinese descent). The first word indicates their ethnicity or, sometimes, their last country of origin. Whereas the second word indicates the country they live in now. So this article should be changed to African Romans. A Roman African would be a citizen of Rome who lived in Africa, but an African Roman would be an African who lived in Rome.Wacape (talk) 12:58, 14 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
