This is not the most notable film in the world, even for European genre cinema, but I've tried to clarify some details that are continiously posted in error. The film could not have been released in Italy in 1988, as it did not gets it visa for release until 1989 (which I've backed up with two sources). While its definitely possible it was released elsewhere in the world earlier (IMDb cites Japan for example, but we'll need some sort of source), we need clarification. Hi Andrzejbanas, It looks like you deleted some information and a reference from the page:
Although featuring a partially American cast, the movie was not released in the United States until 2019,<ref>Roberto Chiavini, Gian Filippo Pizzo, Michele Tetro. ''Il grande cinema di fantascienza: da 2001 al 2001'', Vol. 1. Gremese, 2001. p.53. {{ISBN|88-8440-114-3}}.</ref>
You've currently got the Chiavini book listed in "Sources", but the actual reference that links to it is gone.
Thanks! Yes good catch. I think the current article sort of gives more details into the casting outside the sort of vague bits here (Reb Brown, the character actor, etc.). It provides a bit more context too. I think we can probably find a better source on the film receiving its first official release in the United States. If I could dig up a Japanese release date, I'm confident I can dig up this American info elsewhere. Thanks for chiming in @Toughpigs:. Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:34, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
