editI remember my work hiring Robert Harbin to entertain us at Christmas. Wow! What a brilliant magician. He was in the middle of a circle of people, so everyone could see what he was doing from behind. I recall his sawing in lady in half and quarters. He had managed to partition the boxes with her fingers still wriggling in the hole. How he did this trick has completely defied me to the present day. A brilliant and gifted entertainer.
- Lucky you. You don't have any biographies on him, do you? Our article could do with more on his early life, such as the date when he moved to the UK. --Heron 19:49, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
This needs sorting out. why are they in alphabetical order. Is this a standard way to represent them? It's just it would seem much more logical to put them either in chronologicl order (by first print) or in series (origami 1; origami 2, origami fun 1; origami fun 2 etc etc) Also, the titles all seem wrong. even with my book in front of me i could only work out which listing was mine by looking at the ISBN!! I changed some to reflect the title as written on the book, but i can only do this for the ones i have. I suspect that there are others titles which need the same ammendment. TV?
editBBC television was off air between 1939 and 1946, so how could Harbin have had a show in 1940? CulturalSnow (talk) 06:30, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Don't know what that was about so just removed it as obviously wrong. He was on TV numerous times after it resumed though. Dmcq (talk) 14:06, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
Look-In Magazine
edit"He also presented a series of origami programmes for ITV in its "Look-In" magazines for children in the 1970s."
Look-In mgazine was a print publication (kind of a cross between TV Times for children and a kids comic),
did he present Children's tv programmes on origami broadcast on ITV, write and/or appear in features in Look-In, or both? 78.151.208.116 (talk) 22:49, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
