Should we merge this into Ethnic nationalism? I don't really see the difference between the two.VR talk 01:37, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- One is based on race, and the other is based on ethnicity. Come on. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Supevan (talk • contribs) 14:03, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- Agree with @Vice regent Although I think some distinction can be made between ethnic nationalism that emphasises common descent (or some vague notion of shared culture) and explicitly believing in a concrete "race", I don't think you actually see much of the latter in the world anymore and thus 'racial nationalism' becomes an obsolete label.
- Indeed, even arguably the most explicit case of racialised nationalism (the Nazis) is included within the ethnic nationalism article on wiki.
- To @Supevan, what is the qualitative difference between the two things? Although the article states racial nationalism should not be confused with ethnic nationalism, it doesn't demonstrate why this is so at all. Yr Enw (talk) 06:01, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
