What, exactly, is the topic of this article? It contains a lot of information which is tangentially related to a "race of the future", but very little that is directly connected to this topic. We already have articles on miscegenation, anti-miscegenation laws, Pardo Brazilians, and many similar topics. But these topics are not the same as this one. It is not appropriate to use tangentially related topics to imply something about this hypothetical "race". If sources do not mention a "race of the future" or something unambiguously related to the future, than this whole article should be deleted. Race is not the same as ethnicity, and the concept of race (human categorization) itself is complicated and biologically dubious, so we should be cautious not to inadvertently validate WP:FRINGE science. I agree. It being a notable subject at all isn't supported by secondary sources. It's just some editor's dreamy made-up essay. 73.253.126.162 (talk) 22:53, 23 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I agree and the article should be suggested for deletion. The source for the idea that 'Race of the Future' is a concept goes to a Yale Alumni Magazine article about eugenics, the phrase 'race of the future' is only mentioned once in the following sentence: "It declared that “steamship agents and brokers all over Europe, and even in Asia and Africa, are today deciding for us the character of the American race of the future.", clearly not an article describing a concept. The Coudenhove-Kalergi quote doesn't seem to be describing a concept either, merely making a prediction of what the 'race' of the world will be like in future. I haven't read the other two sources in the summary but both seem to be talking about eugenics and miscegenation rather than a specific concept of a future 'race'. The History section seems to be nearly verbatim copied from the 'miscegenation' article and the last section is merely a quote from a Theosophist, a religion, which again already has an article, and it's thoughts on races are also mentioned in the miscegenation article. Basically there is no reason for this article to exist and it should be deleted. - Dalta (talk) 13:15, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Henry Harpending

edit

Regarding this edit:

An anonymous editor recently copied info from Henry Harpending to this article. There are technical issues with this, per WP:CWW. These issues would need to be addressed for this information to be restored. The references would also have to be fixed. Both of these would be relatively easy, however...

It appears that the source was merely a press release from Harpending's University for a study from 2007. This is not weighty, useful stuff, this is bordering on both WP:FRINGE and WP:PRIMARY. With this in mind, I have removed the entire section. If Harpending's perspective is useful to a modern understanding of the entire topic, please find and summarize a reliable, independent source. Thanks. Grayfell (talk) 04:12, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi - Predicted.

edit

I would challenge the (Predicted) part of the starting sentence because the statement was not a prediction, it was defined as a goal by Kalergi himself.

Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi was as mixed-race Japanese male who suffered horrible racial discrimination in his life on a political platform, he was a firm believer that if Europe remains open to Africa & Asia, Racism & Nationalism (hatred & division) will cease to exist in the modern world and Europe will unite as a (single) entity. He was a man who believed individual nations were a set back and should cease to exist, national identites cannot exist in the European Nation.

Obviously many challenged Kalergi because, even if the White Race ceased to exist and became a single modern race, there would still be Africans, Asians around the world that would remain what we could defined as racially pure, or non-mixed.

The mixed man of the future would be the European of the future, another statement from Kelergi which is in itself racial discrimination, however Richard clearly specified this was a (goal), not a prediction. Kalergi is recognized as the founder of the first popular movement for a united Europe, father of the EU which today presents awards to those who increase ethnic diversity within Europe in honour of Kalergi.

On that premise, this is why Nationalists of all European Nations, the Nazis, and white supremacists regularly refer to Richard Kalergi when discussing the topics of White Genocide of the Ethnic Genocide of Europe.

Coudenhove-Kalergi was the head of the Pan-European Union until his death, the grave is unpretentious and upon it is the French epitaph "Pionnier des États-Unis d'Europe" (Pioneer of the United States of Europe).

Race is the basis for Nationalism, Identity, culture, heritage and to Kalergi was the set back in the United European goal. 2A00:23C8:8580:1C00:385E:47B4:54CB:F626 (talk) 09:59, 25 August 2020 (UTC)HBuReply

Belatedly, see Kalergi Plan. Nazis and other nationalists regularly refer to him because he's a useful prop for their conspiracy theory, not because of the reality of what he said or believed. Grayfell (talk) 05:33, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
