Presidency of U Win Myint
editConsidering that U Win Myint was elected on 28 March, but not sworn in, does his term as president begin on 28 March 2018, or 29 March 2018, which will be the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw session in which U Win Myint will be officially sworn in as Preident. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IwaizumiOikawa HajimeTooru (talk • contribs) 14:17, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

Not the president
editI don't believe the current phrasing indicating that there is an acting president is backed by the majority of sources. Most sources seem to indicate there is a deposed president(e.g. ref), without recognising Myint. I propose its rephrasing and clarification Nosebagbear (talk) 12:10, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- The military named him Acting President. It's been covered in reliable sources: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]. Not every source covering the coup is going to mention him because Min Aung Hlaing is the one really in charge. ― Tartan357 Talk 12:23, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- I am aware of what he was named. If the sourcing basis is stronger, than a few more should be added in (though the article in general is disturbingly poorly sourced) Nosebagbear (talk) 13:30, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- I agree that more references (such as the ones I've provided) should be added. My efforts related to the coup have been spread pretty thin. ― Tartan357 Talk 15:03, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

U Myint Swe is not our President U Win Myint is our real President. 210.14.101.27 (talk) 07:35, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Why Myint Swe is not acting President.
editSince the coup of 2021, the country has been terrorized by the military tyranny. They committed the coup unlawfully, detained democratically elected leaders and congressional members and announced Myint Swe ( their puppet) as acting president. But the people did not elected him nor we recognized the military terrorists as our leader. By stating Myint Swe as acting president in this articles, it would be same as recognizing military terrorist as a state leader and ignoring the wishes of people of myanmar and their lawful votes during election. Please removed him and put U Win Myint as our President. ZinWelch (talk) 03:54, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
