PaaS vs. aPaaS
editThe reference to aPaaS at the start of the article makes is sound synonymous to PaaS. While PaaS is a widely-used term, aPaaS appears to come from Gartner and is used to describe platforms that push into application development and not just deployment. From the Gartner report:
- "Platform as a service (PaaS) is de ned as application infrastructure functionality enriched with cloud characteristics and offered as a service."
- "Application platform as a service (aPaaS) is a PaaS offering that supports application development, deployment and execution in the cloud."
- "High-productivity aPaaS (hpaPaaS) provides rapid application development (RAD) features for development, deployment and execution — in the cloud."
There is a blog post from WorkFlowWise about aPaaS, but they are really describing PaaS https://www.workflowwise.com/blog/what-is-an-application-platform-as-a-service-apaas — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.233.78.164 (talk) 13:32, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on Platform as a service
editCyberbot II has detected links on Platform as a service which have been added to the blacklist, either globally or locally. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed or are highly inappropriate for Wikipedia. The addition will be logged at one of these locations: local or global If you believe the specific link should be exempt from the blacklist, you may request that it is white-listed. Alternatively, you may request that the link is removed from or altered on the blacklist locally or globally. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. Please do not remove the tag until the issue is resolved. You may set the invisible parameter to "true" whilst requests to white-list are being processed. Should you require any help with this process, please ask at the help desk.

Platform base service term in lede?
editThe term platform base service in the first sentence of the lede seems odd. It's an unfamiliar term to me, and it's unsourced. If you Google the phrase, almost every result looks like it's a cut and paste from the article - word for word. Here's the sentence where it appears: Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS) or platform base service... Anyone else familiar with the term, who can source it? If not, we should just delete it. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 23:31, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
