Talk:Pedagogical pattern

reference the same idea

edit

Since this seems to reference the same idea, based on Christopher Alexander's work, as the articles at Design pattern (computer science) and Design pattern (architecture), it seems to make sense to move it to Design pattern (pedagogy) or the more general Design pattern (education). This would also make it fit better on the disambiguation page.

Also, if I've understood the intent correctly, it seems that it should link to Christopher Alexander, Pattern language (the general idea), and A Pattern Language (the book -- this article doesn't exist yet).

Any thoughts? Wordie 18:28, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)

The problem is that "pedagogical patterns" is an already established expression, well known in the technical millieu and much more precise than "Design Pattern (education)". On top of that, many people might refute the classification of pedagogical pattern as a "design" pattern (although I personally find it IS).

a matter of precision

The problem is that "pedagogical patterns" is an already canonical expression, well known in the technical millieu and much more precise than "Design Pattern (education)". On top of that, many people might refute the classification of pedagogical pattern as a "design" pattern (although I personally find it IS). But your adding a link in the "Design Pattern" disambiguation page was really necessary.
