Crocker's date of birth has not yet been found. Support for the year 1929 is easily found, as in her memoir she says her parents were married in 1927 [p.27] and she arrived two years later.[p.28] The possibility of a 1930 date is raised by the fact that in December 1939 she entered two eisteddfods here and here in the 9 years and under age group.
She was described by a newspaper in November 1941 as 11 years old.
An even later date is suggested in her memoir, recounting that when she left with Ruth Cracknell for London on 6 December 1952, "I was twenty-one and had been working as a radio actor for over ten years".[p.116] Doug butler (talk) 20:32, 11 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
