The discussion of historical context seems overly hasty. For example, how do you objectively talk about "opposition from the major textbook companies"? Also, how does one justify the claims made about the "overall legibility of American handwriting"? These sound like points of view, not objective claims. If they are common points of view, then it is great to include them, but then citations are needed to back them up. Unfortunately, I do not know enough to contribute any specific information. --Lexspoon 14:39, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The author says the lack of emphasis on handwriting has led to a decrease in overeall legibility. It seems that the loopy ornate style that was taught earlier often deteriorated into an illegible scrawl so current illegibility may have other causes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stbett (talkcontribs) 06:39, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

It would be good to have an illustration/image of Palmer writing added to the article.--Mack2 (talk) 05:50, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Did a WikiImp visit this page? The citations need to be addresed, because Palmer Method is quite an important topic. 90.199.253.87 (talk) 21:01, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

In addition to the lack of citation, the phrase " sometimes popularly said by some in the general public" is pretty much gibberish. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.227.227.142 (talk) 23:30, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I find it somewhat troubling that this entry neglects to at least mention that the Palmer Method forced everyone to write with their right hand, even if they were left-handed. I know this from personal experience. It had to do with equating left-handedness with being 'sinister".Midknightryder13 (talk) 03:21, 4 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
