Material on De Soto site - as noted on other pages concerning this specific site, as one of the archaeologists following the controversy over the "White Ranch" site's identity, it is completely in error to say that the "White Ranch" site has been definitively identified as even existing, let alone a mission and a de Soto site. The current consensus among the professional community is that the so-called White Ranch site is dubious at best and may be an outright fraud at worst.
