Actually, questionable. Among people in Oppdal ("oppdalinger") there is a tendency, though not universal I think, to refer to the center of Oppdal by the farm that used to be there, Auna, sometimes spelled Aune. By tradition, Oppdal is a bygd (viz. Bøgda Vår, the historical society's journal), which can contain several villages - in this case, also Lønset for example. --Leifern19:32, 16 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
