NPOV
editI removed the following sentence: 'Her writing and playing (piano) both demonstrate a strong sense of melody, rhythm and an overall high degree of musicality, making her music both refreshing and moving'. This is an opinion and has no place in this article. --General Hard 12:52, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
I think something needs to be done about thsi sentence too, to maintain fact (if indeed it is factual, I don't know this singer) and remove POV "Oleta Adams' smooth sumptuous contralto voice has become the vanguard in an R&B jazz segment that was largely vacant during Anita Baker's hiatus." I'm not removing the whole thing as I can't comment on her style. High Heels on Wet Pavement 14:51, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Date of birth
editIs it possible she was born on 4 May 1954 ? See [1] [2] [3]. Just asking.

I just saw her in concert and she said she definitely said she was turning 56 next week. her birhtday on Wikepedia is off by to years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.126.34.138 (talk) 04:12, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- The Boston Globe and the OC Register report her turning 56 in their Celebrity Birthday listings for May 4th. I'm prepered to believe she was born in 1953. The biog on her website says she moved to LA to record in the early 70s. This seems very unlikely if she was born in 1962. Crisso (talk) 23:00, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Omission
editOleta Adams' contribution to Larry Adler's "Glory of Gershwin" album (she sang 'Embraceable You') has been omitted from the discography (and also on her website, strangely) - which I would insert had I more details and I knew how to handle a table in Wiki! It would be good if someone knowledgeable could put this in. Jaycey 11:31, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

First two albums
editIs there any reference for them? Discogs only lists "Going on Record" and I'm seeing no trace of the untitled album. Jules TH 16 (talk) 16:39, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
