Who?!

edit

Who the hell wrote this article?! 'Tis horrible. It needs a clean-up. The Duke of The Nutbush 04:38, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, The section that reads: "In the 1950s, the dance was known as "The Madison".[1]", and later: "A comparison of the step sheets, however, does not support the conclusion the dances are the same." The dance steps included in citation 1 match the nutbush steps - and the citation page makes reference to the dance having an old name of the Madison. The wiki page "The madison" however is a completely different dance and makes no mention of any Australian version. I expect the link to the madison wiki page needs to be removed - and possibly a brief explanation to distinguish the two dances of the same name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.0.69.154 (talk) 09:28, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disco era ?

edit

I observed performances of this Nutbush "line dance" three times, in 1987, 1988 amd 1989. I don't think it is a "disco era" ( late 70's ) phenomenon. "Line dance" was not evident in Australia during the late 70's disco craze, it became popular around the time of the movie "Thelma and Louise", which featured line dancing.Eregli bob (talk) 09:22, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
