Grand Portage
editI was up to the monument and the park in 2005 and I'm pretty sure that the monument is not contained in the park. I'll have to look for verification on that. Currently the State Park page redirects to the Monument page -- I think they should be separate pages. (Also, the Grand Portage Monument page has a link to the state park page which circles back again.) Rufus Sarsaparilla 17:20, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- Edited the "contains" error. Grand Portage State Park still needs its own article. --BlueCanoe 00:02, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
Ontario Parks
editI have recently added links and short summaries of all the parks which have been listed by the ontario parks website as being on the lakeshore. Ontario parks are labeled as one of six kinds of parks: Nature Reserve, Historical, Recreation, Natural Environment, Wilderness, and Waterway. I have named them as such when appropriate, however the links send you to the wrong places entierly. I will be looking now for good summaries of these kinds of parks in order to make appropriate pages for them. Thanatosimii 17:39, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

North Shore History
editI added history from the earliest periods to about 1900. There's a lot to add, but I consider this article too big to be called a stub now, so I removed the tags. I'll be getting to the rest of the history some time soon, unless anone else wants to expand it. Thanatosimii 03:12, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- I added the Iron and Lumber Industries. After I add conservation history, all the north shore history should be covered. Thanatosimii 17:50, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- And now I've got the conservation history. Thanatosimii 22:23, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
Physical charecteristics
editI've added geology under physical charecteristics. I think that flora and fauna and climate sections should be added here too. Thanatosimii 21:07, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Thunder bay logo.jpg
editImage:Thunder bay logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Impressive photographs? In my wikipedia?
editI just wanted to say there are some beautiful photos in this article; I can't believe some uptight wikipedo hasn't deleted them all already citing the "wikipedia is not a place for quality content" axiom. But while they're not looking, let's keep up the good work. Wormwoodpoppies (talk) 03:10, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- OTOH the pic of Split Rock is technically far below the usual WP standards. There must be better choices of this oft-photographed subject out there. [1] Sca (talk) 14:08, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
