Nobuta o Produce?
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was moved as Nobuta wo Produce seems to be the most commonly used name in English, which is our most important concern when naming articles. Aervanath (talk) 15:48, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Why was this article moved from "Nobuta wo Produce" to "Nobuta o Produce"?
- To quote the edit summary: (moved Nobuta wo Produce to Nobuta o Produce: を romanized as "o" per WP:MOS-JA). Nique talk 20:09, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- I might add that "野ブタ。をプロデュース" is usually romanized as "Nobuta wo Produce", not "Nobuta o Produce" (google it). So technically the current title is incorrect. --ざくら木 10:19, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- That's true in general, but according to guidelines, we must romanize it "o" not "wo" when used as a particle. The only exception to this would be if it were released in English under the Japanese name with it romanized as "wo". Nique talk 13:11, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, the other exception is that "any clearly established romanization should be given preference," which there clearly is one: "wo". Changing it to a title that is not well recognized is like hiding the information, which is the opposite of Wikipedia's goal. 150.200.40.158 (talk) 21:15, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- It is romanized to 'wo' by Nippon TV in their program licensing catalogue (http://www.ntv.co.jp/english/pc/index.html). Surely this puts an end to the argument...Retro2112 talk 10:25, 24 December 2008(UTC)

Requested move
editIt is romanized to 'wo' by Nippon TV in their program licensing catalogue (http://www.ntv.co.jp/english/pc/index.html). Surely this puts an end to the argument. Retro2112 talk 10:25, 24 December 2008(UTC)
According to NTV, the television network that produced and broadcasted the show, 野ブタ。をプロデュース is romanized as "Nobuta wo Produce". Please check this. Eugh jei ♥ Kaorin 14:18, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose. The current choice of article name is certainly bizarre, but WP:MOS-JA recommends "o" for "を". I suggest moving to Nobuta o Produce, which would also be a simple move not requiring admin assistance. --DAJF (talk) 01:34, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- I really want to point out this article (page 16). The television network itself officially romanizes it as "wo." I know that it violates MOS:JA, but Nobuta wo Produce is "clearly [an] established romanization." I think MOS:JP need to clarify this problem... or not. Eugh jei ♥ Kaorin 03:10, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- Support - Established romanization as demonstrated above. --ざくら木 12:58, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Infobox
editThis article shouldn't be using the animanga infobox since that infobox was specifically designed for anime and manga articles. --Farix (Talk) 01:53, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I am planning of changing the infobox because of that reason. Don't worry, I'll work on it tomorrow after finishing some things. But, if you (or someone) want to do it, please go ahead. Eugh jei ♥ Kaorin 07:53, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
