Music genre

edit

NiziU aims to debut in Japan, but at the same time, aims at global activities with Korean study, and training and producing are all done in Korea JYPE. M/V Korean version is already came out. So I propose a hybrid notation of Kpop and Jpop of genre. It is actually Localized Kpop in Japan. BTS also produces Japanese music and is classified as K-pop in iTunes, but the same album is classified as J-pop in Melon. Sound source site standards are meaningless. --Lightfromhell (talk) 14:20, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

You could see apple music where J-pop coast, and niziu is the second version similar to boy story, JYP is not after their main company and just co-managed, you are making extremely big changes and vandalizing putting K-pop being who sing in Japanese and are of Japanese origin, stop strolling on the wiki in all languages.--Little Fairy (talk) 14:53, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Are you serious? NiziU is under JYPE Not Sony. Sony is for sale and management when they go for concert in Japan. And ALL producing is under JYPE in KOREA. JPOP or KPOP genre is from musical feature. I said they have already M/V Korean ver. They're Japanese but they're produced in KPOP style. They're under contract for 7 years by JYPE like other artists. They'll keep training in Korea during not come back activity. --Lightfromhell (talk) 15:11, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
See the official site of NIZIU IS SONY X JYP, I don’t understand you can make with these inventions?! Obs. NiziU not stay in JYP official site artist because JYP is CO MANAGER..--Little Fairy (talk) 15:18, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Stop talking about the bottom of the NiziU homepage. That's nonsense. The homepage is written on both companies and supports both Korean and Japanese. Your logic is strange. They can't appear on the JYPE site because they're not yet debuted. They are still trainees. And yes, There are M/Vs by NiziU that JYP has them not SONY. --Lightfromhell (talk) 15:31, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hmm

edit

Barbiiee20 and Slipknot000--for two brand-new accounts, you two know an awful lot about Wikipedia editing, though not, it seems, about our guidelines. What you can do is argue here, on the talk page, about whether this is K-pop or J-pop, and maybe some other things. What you can not do is turn an encyclopedic article into a PR venue for yet another K/J-pop group. Drmies (talk) 01:36, 20 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Origin

edit

This Korea Times articles states that the group trained in Korea for 6 months until their announcement of the final lineup. If they trained and finalized their formation at JYP in Seoul, then what reason would make their origin be in Japan? Just because they are a Japanese girl group? Who says that debuting in a certain location equates to their place or origin? ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 19:21, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Nkon21, template:Infobox musical artist#origin says that origin parameter is intended to "The town, city etc., from which the group or musician originated (that is, the place where the group was founded, or where the individual performer started their career, should it not match the location of their birth)." The members was announced in Seoul, so their place of origin should be from there—as mentioned in the source. -- Gervant of Shiganshina (talk) 20:42, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I 100% agree. The "TBA" in place of the origin should be changed to Seoul. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 20:50, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

This group originally from Japan and not from Korea, like the genre, do not sing Korean but Japanese. Alesas19 (talk) 00:59, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

so i can use my sources to then? i mean if u found article about niziu in japan, then can i use it? Cainaca (talk) 18:20, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
answering the question below me ▽▽. Well if i can find them ofc i'll change it, i mean it's not fair when NiziU is debut in Tokyo last year and all this people saying they're debut in South Korea, meanwhile in JO1 wikipedia it say they're debut in Japan. why NiziU can't? Cainaca (talk) 23:56, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
- and in Japanese NiziU wikipedia, they write that NiziU origin country is Tokyo, Japan. Why all of u change their own home country? u guys don't even stan them, why bother editing source for NiziU? pls stop it Cainaca (talk) 00:05, 12 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Cainaca: Even if something is done on the Japanese Wikipedia, it does not mean that we do the same thing here. In regards to J01,the survival show they did took place in Japan, it wasn't until after the debut line-up was announced that they traveled to South Korea for training. I don't much think the place of auditions is relevant to their origin as the group was finalized in South Korea.
"We use what the reliable sources says, not personal interpretation (even if it's true)." what sources? u guys don't even put the sources? the sources because they're trained in south korea? what? and how about the first audition in Nagoya? why don't u guys put that? i mean NiziU born from Nizi Project right? and Nizi Project the first audition is in Nagoya, so NiziU born in Nagoya? please answer, thank u Cainaca (talk) 00:20, 12 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Cainaca: If you can provide these new sources, do you intend to change their origin? If so, per Gervant of Shiganshina no changes seem necessary.

J-pop

edit

I deleted "J-pop", because I couldn't find anything about "J-pop" in president.jp's article (in Japanese). Nevertheless a Japanese IP user undid my edit without any other references. I hope that he/she stop to undo more. 2001:2D8:672B:7587:117E:B3B4:E1AB:590C (talk) 17:02, 20 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Real names?

edit

The Members section says not to edit the names. However, I would like to add the members' real names provided by this source. Should I and how should I format it? Lectrician1 (talk) 01:45, 21 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Lectrician1: Their real names were listed on the page at some point but it looks like we're going by official stage names as they are referred by them in Japanese media. Furthermore, Nina goes by two last names (Nina Makino and Nina Hillman) and not having them altogether would just help avoid potential edit wars. lullabying (talk) 02:48, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Okay, yeah I agree. Lectrician1 (talk) 16:30, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Endorsements

edit

Should they have an Endorsement section? Or should we wait until they start becoming global ambassadors for different brands? --Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 00:10, 3 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
