Modifications (26 Feb. 2024)

I have conducted online research regarding the beetle and have added information to this article. I have concerned myself with the behavior of the beetle. I wrote a a lead section, included a more details regarding the description of the beetle, and added to the 'Distribution and habitat' discussion. I expanded on the information provided by the original author regarding the presence of the beetle in Oregon and the implication that that might have. I included a new paragraph titled 'Physiology', which explains the ground-dwelling nature of N. brevicollis. Furthermore, I included a paragraph titled 'Behavior' with the sub-paragraphs 'Breeding and lifespan' and Predation'. Then, I finished with including a paragraph on human interaction. In addition to providing the article with new information, I edited the citations of the previous author and included more images to convey the information being presented.

• @L.marcoymarquez: Hi Lara, the page is new enough as a 5x expansion and large enough. The nominator is new and does not need to review another nomination. The hook fact checks out, and I was able to access the journal source. The primary issue is that there are two uncited sections that require citation to a source: As an emerging field of interest, researchers plan to conduct further studies in which a wider range of learning assays are tested to understand the cognition-personality relationships of N. brevicollis. and Conditions of low food supply can negatively influence both the number of eggs produced and the viability of the eggs. Peer Review

I thought this article seemed well written with great detail. I added links to some technical terms, whether for the first time or to usages earlier in the article. I also made several edits in various sections to sentence structure for improved clarity and reduced redundancy. I think that there should be additional information added to the food resources section, especially given that it has a subsection under it when the section has one sentence overall. I also think that the life history and behavior sections can be either condensed or divided into subsections. They contain long blocks of text that seem to go into too much detail regarding research studies with specific mentions to certain researchers. Perhaps, a research section with subsections for life history and behavior may be more appropriate. Owen Guo (talk) 03:51, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
